- According to PTC-46, there is no obligation regarding manual data acquisition. Manual logging at 10 minute intervals is practical for operations team.
- The main steam flow is typically calculated by subtracting blowdown and other possible extraneous flow like sootblowingsteam from the feed water flow.
- Reheat steam flow to the boiler is determinded by subtracting form the main steam flow any leakage it returns to the boiler as reheat steam.
